Treasurer Rod Harwood reported no account transactions since our last meeting, leaving our balance at $1091.30.

The Bartlesville Boys and Girls Club is holding a fundraising ride on October 5, with rides of several lengths including 33 and 62 miles for the longer rides. The Tour De Bville ride will take place on October 19.

Joel Martin receives update emails regarding League of American Bicyclist activities that he can forward to those who are interested.

Starting in October, Saturday morning rides will depart Johnstone Park at 9:00 am. The Tuesday and Thursday morning rides will also start at 9:00 am in October. Tuesday and Thursday evening rides continue at 6 pm until evening daylight becomes too short and/or people stop showing up as the time change approaches on November 3.

Declining club membership and the difficulty of finding people to serve on the board has made officer recruitment a growing problem. A motion was proposed by Rhonda Freeman, seconded by Shirley Martin, and passed by unanimous consent to allow a 1-year suspension of term limits for officers. This would allow any or all of the current officers to serve another year in their positions, pending an affirmative vote for officers at our annual meeting in December. Nothing in this motion prevents additional officer candidates from volunteering or being nominated, and both actions are encouraged. Jared Barr volunteered for an officer position. After the shock of someone actually volunteering for a position wears off, we will be pleased to put him on the slate of candidates.

Our annual meeting and party is scheduled for Thursday, December 5 at 6:30 pm at the Freeman residence at Jarrett Farm along Highway 75 south of Bartlesville. It will be a potluck followed by our business meeting and traditional gift exchange for those who would like to participate.

Some road work is ongoing on Road 1400 near 3980. Road 4000 is still gravel for about a mile south of Road 3000. A bridge is still out on Road 3990 near Road 3600. We are also aware of a report that the Bowring Road is under repair.

Thank you to the Martins for providing dinner and hosting the meeting!

Meeting adjourned at 8:16 pm.
